My husband and I like to sit at the beach on New Year's Eve and watch the last sunset of the year. Your poem reminds me of that moment of anticipation, awaiting what will happen once the sun reaches the horizon and sinks below. That spark always brings us joy! Thank you!

That last line recalled a phrase that has long puzzled me, "Far from the Madding Crowd." To me, "stumbling," would mean a bunch of fools or worse, drunks. On the other hand, I don't have a ghost of an idea what "madding" means. ;-)
So stupid just looked it up on Google and now he knows… ;-)
