Poem Artwork

Why waste the ev'ning sleeping
It's beautiful outside
Blanket spread out on the lawn
Stars are twink'ling until dawn
Shadow of  a doe and fawn
Sleep during the day

Ah then the sunlight beckons
To come and play outside
Go splashing in ponds and lakes
Skinny dip for heaven's sakes
A fun day for ev'ning makes
Love will find a way

My thoughts exactly. But way too many bugs in Florida. Deserts have snakes. Where can we do this for goodness sakes? LOL!! JMD

Ahhh . . . The last line said it all. What a beautiful nature-inspired poem, Jane. I felt each and every line.
