Memories of paper boats.

Poem Artwork

Floating in a pond of lilies
Saw I little paper boat
Moving slightly with some ripples
Lilting lightly it did float

Soft breeze with puffed cheeks a blowing
Sending little nautical
To ponds edge stuck in some cattails
Suddenly I heard a call

Little boy ran to the cattails
Reached down picked up pride and joy
Gave salute to "crew" then ran off
Holding onto fav'rite toy

Funny, but when I picture a little guy saluting and holding his favorite toy, I see a slightly different picture. Maybe that's just me. Love your sentiment.
