'Love keeping a vegetable garden!

Poem Artwork

The garden is thriving
Walking barefoot through
Cucumbers have started
The tomatoes too

Spring onions shoot skyward
As if making fun
Halitosis rising
Has clouds on the run

Ooops there goes a corn snake
All shiny and brown
Bees doing their thing while
Egg plant goes to town

Go plant ye a garden
With veg'tables spread
Stakes set strings are tied now
The weeding we dread

JANE, YOUR GARDEN LOOKS SO PICTURESQUE, IT'S JUST ABSOLUTELY LOVELY! MAKES ONE WANT TO GROW ONE, INDEED, BUT I'M 8 STORIES UP SO IT WON'T BE HAPPENING...BUT I DO HAVE NICE SIZED PLANTS IN MY WINDOW - A LITTLE COMPENSATION(SMILE). THANKS FOR SHARING A PICTURE THAT COMPLIMENTED YOUR FINE WORK SO WELL. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Gardens of vegetables or even flowers show us that it is more than Spring or Summer showers...

This vegetable poem has a lot of meat to it!! I have been out all morning looking at plants for my back deck, mostly to make for privacy to the beach tourists that rent the condo next door, but heck, maybe I'll just put some dang tomatoe plants out there, might as well get something to eat from them, ha! NOthing like a juicy ripe tomatoe off the vine with salt on it. Making myself hungry. its your fault, LOL!

I wish that was a picture of my vegetable garden but, due to an issue beyond my control, I did not plant one this year. I'll make up for it next year. This photo is from an image I found in "early vegetable gardens". Thank you all for your comments!!

Love yas!!

Looks like a great start and a poem to boot! That is one of the neatest gardens that I've seen. Nary a weed in sight! That's a good sign of a obsessive-compulsive gardener with two green thumbs and dirty brown toes.

My poems are my garden
I plant one every day
Some of them may be egg plants
but at least they have their say.

Love the photo, Jane, love your garden, and love your poem.

You are part and parcel of the soil, Jane. Growing a vegetable garden, tending to your flowers, the Marsh and the beach . . . You are an all-around woman of the earth.
