Ever had one of those nights when the sound of rain or the sound of a railroad train put you to sleep?

Poem Artwork

So sleepy but sleep won't come
My eyes are heavy please let
Some sleep come soon
Gazed at the moon

Wheels turning when they should rest
Thinking of the past won't let
Me go to sleep
Dreaming so deep

Started raining a lullaby
Drip drop sounds that wash all
My cares away
Another day

I THINK THIS IS SOMETHING WE ALL CAN RELATE TO...WHEN RAIN BRINGS THE BLESSING OF SLEEP. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Regardless of what eventually puts you to sleep, it's always those pesky memories of something unsettling that have a way of preventing sleep from happening. There is a cure. Alzheimer's will definitely get rid of those bad memories. Unfortunately, those will stick around the longest. The first to go will be your memory of what you were going to do five minutes ago and then forgot. ;-)

I've been in bed all night,
and never slept a wink.
When insomnia strikes,
it sure makes it hard to think.

I wish you sweet dreams,
I hope you sleep tight.
And in this day and age,
Don't let the bed bugs bite.

Oh Jane, I hope you managed to get to sleep soon after you posted this. That is a horrible way to be, and you are right, "Thinking of the past" is a monster that refuses to allow you sleep.

When we lay ourselves down to sleep, you need to free your mind of all worries and cares. If not, the rain patter will chatter away until you fall into slumber, as you did in this poem. Sweet dreams. John

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
