What is an easy walk one day might take your life on the next.

Poem Artwork

The mudflats cracked nothing alive
An animal falls eagle dives
The weeds so dry you hear them cry
Damn send some rain before I die

The god of rain did hear my plea
Torrents of rain came suddenly
Mudflats exhaled a new perfume
Their dead life lives it's been exhumed

Called he with my song then he came
Across the mudflats what a shame
To come so far to sink so low
The mudflats have fun don't 'cha know

With a charm of their own,
the mudflats sure are purty.
let's have some fun,
and go get dirty.

The mudflats were not the only entities to find the fun. The pleasure in accompanying you is to experience both the cracks and the life-giving rain.

The mudflats, an anomaly of nature you have described quite sincerely.

Like the desert, no doubt the mudflats exude a certain charm, that you have explored here with deft finesse, like a cool breeze and a spot of rain. Next poem, please . . ., I am waiting patiently !
