Life has the most dangerous "cracks" to watch out for.

Poem Artwork

Cracks in the ice make
For keen eyes and knowing
Life gets so real and
Keeps going and going

Get to the part where
There's nothing to step on
Back up ice solid
Change your plan of action

Just don't fall through it
Take a long stick with you
Use it don't lose it
I'm Spirit, Sir, Adieu!

GOOD ADVICE. BUT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, EVERYBODY TAKES A FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS, GETS RESCUED AND LEARNS A HARD LESSON. WISH IT COULD BE EASIER, BUT IT'S USUALLY NOT. THANKS FOR SHARING. HAVE A WONDERFUL MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

And I thought it was the cracks in the sidewalk that we had to watch out for! But you're right about how life is a lot like ice that is breaking up to where we don't know which way to step or turn. Still, I'm not sure where that last line came from?

There are many people that fall through those cracks, and never get the help they deserve and need.

Wasn't it one of the Roosevelts that said something about carrying a big stick, you are just extending that thought...-e-

PS: thanks for the advice on my leg cramps deal...:)

There are cracks all around us, I am slipping through, soon I will be gone, without much ado. So there you are, your poem has aroused sympathies I can't control. John

I agree with the stick concept, a big stick in my opinion. Considering the source is yet another stick to wield.
