Snow Walking

Once I get out in the snow, my inner child wants to play.

Went walking this morning
Knee deep new fallen snow
Snow balanced on tree limbs
Just so

Got nowhere to go now
Blizzard conditions rule
Car resting and saving
Some fuel

I made a snow angel
She flew into the sky
The cold winds did take her
Up high

My laptop my blanket
Hot cup of cocoa too
A good book and mem'ries
Of you

snow brings the child out and at christmas it is there in all of us I saw Santa in the Walmart today wanted to take pic but just missed him..loved it it is like I was with you I love the snow ..hot cocoa yum we have it every day since the christmas tree went up after Halloween and now about 600 we have it so snuggles love ya..sweet angel

After childhood play with snow was over, and even much before, snowfall like that meant getting out the shovels and clearing walks and driveways.

And, the isolating feeling of winters' cold, often brought thoughts of loved ones in warmer times.
