A great topic to write about and you have done this so well. There is indeed something mysterious and magical about the silence of a winter beach: "Silence so loud it hurts. . . deafening quietude." So true.
So, the winter beach is sly? It seems to me like the verdant fields and the lush forest, wintertime brings on a rather barren, forlorn landscape where nothing ever lived or will live again. Thankfully, spring comes along and changes all that is if by magic.
Wonderful and beautifully written. Having no beaches around me, I only get to walk the banks of a creek that's near me, but it's still a winter wonderland.
