.gone now only to return . here the darkness fears the champion light of the sun . gone now only to return ....wet now from the rain that inevitabally falls only to be dried by the champion light of the sun...gone now only to return...fear is the uncertainty, a question without an answer, giving way to doubt and despair festering within the darkness. taking hold to every thought as to ensure failure. remembering the champion light of the sun, gone now only to return...you are you only because of balance that provides two sides of an equality, a whole that supports success, the rain must fall to support the growth of a new day. the sun must shine showing us the way to navigate through the darkness that threatens... gone now only to return......

Reads of despair from loss of freedom. Seeing the sun and rain from the sterile confines of a jail cell. With a bit of hope that the rain and sun will be experienced again in due time. A heartfelt piece of work from the inside of prison.
A so very touching and insightful poem from someone who has suffered, learned, knows some things. And a most effective use of repetition of a phrase well worth repeating. Formatting is terrible but the poem is actually fine well wrought.
