A Poem wrote in prison. Also the last page in my Novel "Rest Stop"
Subject: Yours to choose
YOURS TO CHOOSE
Be timid, don't fight
Take shit not right
For the lamb sheds its wool to clothe
Kiss ass, buy time
Look ahead, not behind
For what tomorrow brings, you mold
The lion can't survive inside a cage
For trapped, he is no longer king
But never learning to give up his rage
Will mean never hearing freedom sing
The man plays with cards stacked
If you gamble, you have to lose
You are alone, and his game is backed
The lion or the lamb, it is yours to choose
Be wise, not quick
Be smart, not slick
For the lamb,
Will again
Have his wool.
