    Strassenbahn cars—Oge trains

City so calm, yet

    full of life—your charms—

Your years,

    Oh!  How old you must be.

Never before, have I seen

    a city so old—

Yet still modern,

    with people—warm

And friendly as could be.

Time spent—in castle garden

    a cable car to overlook

A Neckar wide—old bridge

    cobble stone—market square.

Friendly beer at Sepple’s, or

    a big round table—Rote Oxen

The Metropol to Rodensteiner

    they are all a part of me.

With university—so great

    you cast a memory,

Of students—very foreign

    yet, as friendly as could be.

Truly said—

    when one walks away

They have their
