I had

Dreams last night

Ocean

Lapping, lapping, lapping

At my feet

You there in the sand

Toes digging in

And for the first time

For the millionth time

 I really saw you

The strong displayed

Through broad shoulders

And the sparkle

Of your eyes

With a flash of fire and wit

But actually I’ve always known

That the inside

Is really the outside

And here you are

And here I am

Ocean

Lapping, lapping, lapping

At our feet

And I’ve been

And we’ve been

Always swept away
