Eve’s Journey
May 22, 2013
She felt a pinprick of fear shot through with bittersweet
As she remembered where she’d been, where she was
Slowly
The pinprick became a wave
Rolling, rolling to her feet
The darkness fell, the doubts arose
Until the gods in blue and green came
Suddenly
The wave became a steamroller
Crushing, crushing, to her core
Calm
Slow scents of lavender
Gentle meadows of rose
Whirlpool swirling
She left this place for awhile
Ten little toes and fingers
A cry, a wiggle later
Personified as hope
She basks
In the nothing of now
