 It’s All About Me

© 2013

August 18, 2013

So I’ve come alive with questions

That serve as answers

When they lie there in silence

For their heaviness lines my heart

Rocky layers of sentiment

Mixed with the shifting sands of day

And strangely, their silence deafens

It’s defining where to start, where to end

And I begin to see

As blindness leads to clarity

And I am no longer afraid

Of the known unknown

The kernel of wheat

Falls from my palm

As I say, what will be will be

And as for whom I serve,

And know, and love,

It’s between me and those rocks

And from now on

My way, my truth, my life

Becomes my seed to sprout

Yes, indeed, unabashedly

It’s all about

Me, me, me

I like this. And why shouldn't it be about you? You are the primary one. You are the one who lives in your skin, takes life's abuse, and yes love. Always and forever look out for your number one.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
