Mr. Sandman By: K E H November 10, 2013 Are you out there Mr. Sandman You’re a stand-in for God tonight Where I ask for a reprieve And I ask you to make it right I’m toiling silently in the shadows Of my mind that’s often dark With the littering of haunting past And the lingering doubt of day Mixed with the hanging omnipresence of now So please Mr. Sandman Help me out tonight Give me the gift of sleep And the clarity of knowing why

When we have something on our minds, stressful occurrences or woes...it seems Mr. Sandman is needed badly to at least, keep things at bay until the morn. Excellent work.

As a substitute for God, Mr. Sandman does alright. At least he doesn't send you to the pits of Hell if He is displeased with you. Oh, wait! I forgot about the nightmares. Heh.Heh
