Fairy Dust

I’m pleading with the night fairy

To give me just a sliver

Of the dust that makes a dreamer

Removes the flitting shadows that cross the wall

The darkness pulls me into the throes of passion

Crying and writhing as it mates

With the crosswind swirls of change

Oh guardian of the unknown

Taking cover behind the sun

I know you see me down here

You cower behind the blinding light

My eyes are gritty and I’m drowning

But I’m not quite done
