Trials

How fortunate that I awake without pain,

While others less fortunate still lie in bed.

Some need a lifetime of assistance to live,

And I pray for those that offer this service.

 

I 've seen brave people accept their condition,

And for years I witnessed that hope never wained.

They were an inspiration to all who came,

And when death finally claimed them, God held their hand.

We all face trials differently as Jude Forese said, it depends on our state of mind and our beliefs... It is has much to do with our own personal path.

For yourself, this was a lovely testament George

Suffering is not all its cracked up to be...yes they have wonderful good medications that for some do work, but then we become addicted...which is worse, pain or addiction...? e

So many have to suffer horribly before the sweetness of death claims them. I still think this dying proposition could have been thought out a little better.
