Poem Artwork

Waking to a dust storm

My imagination concocted.

When it had settled down

An image appeared befuddled.

Now why should you be any

Wiser? I asked this puzzled thing.

When a thought comes to me,

I just laugh, as it occurs so infrequently.

Stand up and stop your laughing.

I'm not the fool you seem to be.

The wisdom that others profess,

I have long since forgotten.

Now I sit me down to write,
waiting for a thought,
and then I forget,
what it was I forgot.

It's even better if you forget wisecracking!

My ex-wife's Lhasa was named Toby (short for Tobias McMuffin McCracken). Lordy Be Goshen! Could that picture be he?

I've not professed any wisdom as I doubt for me it exists...-e-
