Truth is a word maligned By those that know it not. Lies on the other hand Are not so easy to spot. The spin masters cloak it in truth And repeat it for days. But when the facts are made known They seem to be in a daze. May the truth be made known- They can't mumble any more. I wonder in times of distress, If anyone is minding the store.

So true! A lie travels around the world and back, while truth is just putting on its shoes. But when the truth is revealed, it quickly stops lies in their tracks.

A little white lie or an embellishment
here and there...but to out and out lie?

I've heard it said that a child stops believing his parents when he finds out there isn't a Santa....(How can he ever believe anyone about anything?)

Carol said it all about everyone lying and these are little white lies which one cannot compare to major lies.

Truth "looks" different to everyone
it is about ones personal perception
(I think)...the spider's web is so beautiful
and so delicate...unless you are a fly

But outside of politics, everyone lies
No-one can escape it because it's part
of man. Not because man is evil or
deceptive, but sometimes the fish caught
is bigger, the accident seen looked
larger, and just because we don't want
to hurt others feelings... i.e., you
don't want to tell a friend their haircut
looks horrid when they are quite happy over
it :)

But yes, when the truth is important we do
have a right to know...
