Cancel debts owed to you,

You won't be any poorer.

But you will be richer

In the charity you give.

Then come to the Lord

And offer him your heart.

It will cost you nothing

But the love God has imparted.

We search in vain for an answer,

When all we need do is offer up.

The vain sacrifices in your search

To find a god amongst secular things.

Sometimes we look for the perfect

When it's over on Golgatha Hill.

Hanging on a cross for love of us.

His arms outstreatched to greet us.

What a loving God, to say the least.

Who gave his life, that we would be free.

There is no mystery, no phony love,

Just try to follow His simple decrees.

Pride prevents and pseudo-intellect and perceived "wisdom" prohibits, George. It's just not in human nature to believe you can swap crap for everlasting gold. Who but the humble can perceive of such things? These things cannot be learned; they only come through revelation; when the heart is ready, the mind opens. That first stanza is all the riches we will ever need. Lovely work. xx

This reminds me of a chapter and verse from the Bible that my father used to remind the family of: John chap. 3, vs. 16. Yes, that's all we need do is believe.

Love ya!
