Just standing watching an event

When I found myself in a hospital

Minus some body parts blown away

And wondering what had happened.

Many will wonder about the why

But it is a terrorist way of instilling fear

In innocent people he wants to scare

And leave a mark for life on their minds,

Almost impossible to nip this in the bud

When so many people are watching an event.

A small bombs main effect is to create havoc

Where only peace and happiness reigned.

This is a terrorist tactic to strike where people gather

Unaware of those around them since it is so crowded.

Doubt if they find the person responsible for this explosion

And if they do they will be called martyrs for the cause.

My prayers go out to all who died and were injured

And to those countless people who will carry it in their mind

For a very long time, the horror of a peaceful gathering

That was used to instill fear in the hearts of peaceful people.

And inflict a mental horror not soon forgot if ever.
