In the orbit of my flight

Where stars are ever bright.

And days have no meaning,

As time is ever leaning.

Calculating distance

At space insistence.

Knowing destination sought,

Is what captain was taught.

Have I seen this before

Back before the war.

Twenty fifth century

Buck Rogers got the enemy?

With a gal as his side kick,

Stole the show with her tricks.

Good looks helped a lot too,

In those space suits so new.

The chapter would end

With Buck not able to fend.

His life was on the line

But next week he's fine.

You forgot your woes,

At these delightful shows.

Young kids started to dream-

Hey Scotty, where's the beam?

Yes, Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon were a real trip. I especially loved their ideas of spaceships. Mad Magazine parodied Flash Gordon by calling it Flesh Garden.

Why did all the occupants of the planet Mung look strangely oriental?

You are so right. We knew no woes then. How could we when we were so busy visiting distant galaxies and new species? Gotta love it!

Love ya!
