Weakened and in stressful pain,

I think of sleep again.

To lose this sense of grieving

By the closing of my eyes.

There is no solace in weeping,

Just tears that never dry,

Wet are the ambitions lost-

A new day seems never to begin.

I linger on lonesome thoughts,

That give me a little solace.

I but a beggar who is hungry

For the smile I'll never receive.

Much sadness and need expressed, but is a ringing of very heart felt emotion - a firm attachment to the need for good and lasting love. So much of life truly is worth exploring and taking in to our final moments.

It's been a long long time since I read your words, but they still hold the ability to bring me to tears. Sadness is only ours as long we choose to let it manipulate us.
Smile through the tears because they cannot dominate your world.

Sending you smiles George...
I know this feeling quite well...
My true love dumped me... He didn't
have the patience to wait any longer...
Tears that will never dry and a heart
always in pain...

Hugs George

Love and Light,
Lily

George,

So sad. I also long to see my parents and brothers smile once again. I want to see my sweet shih tzu for passed away Nov. of last year. I don't know if you have ever lost a pet but it can be devastating.

Love and blessings,
Linda

Very moving. But I can say little about the way life inexorably moves and we are all alone in the end… Beggars be.

You always write from your heart, and that makes your poems expressing so well of your emotions. We always long for someone smile, some comforting words, and some faith to know that everything is going to be alright. I often am a believer....that no matter under what circumstances....that everything will eventually work its way out.

((((( Hugs )))))
