Poet clearing the mind and wondering why

Old is here, strange, I have no fear, I’ll just move along

They look in the wind
See only my lasting sin
I am forced to walk alone
Drumbeat is keeping time
Lonely message in my mind
One foot forward one behind

Why did this take so long for me to see

Doors are closed to the next dream
Children play songs in my head
It is the voice most un said
Just little nursery rhymes

Sowing parts of mind to the wind
Fertile piece of ground as the rain comes down
Growing thoughts well into afternoon sun
Dogs and kites to play kittens run away

Wife standing at the door does not care any more

Just how far away is rest
Matt laid down afternoon sleep
Precious soul I will keep
Found a place to rest my head
Storm has passed in the sun rainbows grow

Survey clear blue sky as the wind and clouds die

Heard the all clear gather up my gear
Spring sings it song as I walk along
Nurse says tomorrow I can go home
Now, just where is that?

"Old is here, strange, I have no fear, I’ll just move along"

That's a good, strong statement! If we live, we'll all get old, but perhaps we can still be creative and let dreams, observations and imagination entertain ourselves and others. Well done, Walter!

Do your teeth wobble when you talk?
Do your legs wobble when you walk?
No?
Then you're not old yet!
