What is the cost of a dead soldier
Author Note: How many forget? Hear the widow on the phone Nobody is home to lift her to her empty bed Childless but true She is lonely too Where is her reward for her undying love In a small spot of hollowed ground On the out skirts of every town She laid his body gently down Stipend in the daily mail Keeps her in this mental jail Love lost in time Just like her pretty little mind Why do dreams live then die In a field of Crosses in a row Life floats to the peaceful sky What is the price of a soldier�s death?

Excellent timing of this write. Question lost of soliders life is priceless to those left behind that knew the solider but to us the price paid was to maintain our freedom.
