Sing with the best at the bar return to a cold bed
Refrain All the stage is now gone up in flames what is left is ashes and the saddest of pain for the shadows talk to me My life is lived but my soul it is not free I It is the day before the rain and I felt you so close it was pain always a word of contempt for me all the world is your slave set me free
All the stage is now gone up in flames what is left is ashes and the saddest of pain for the shadows talk to me My life is lived but my soul it is not free II Hell has no fury like a woman scorned but in the end it is the voice of pain that must be learned Love that is taken but not returned is love that in hell will someday burn
All the stage is now gone up in flames what is left is ashes and the saddest of pain for the shadows talk to me My life is lived but my soul it is not free III Roads of grace are always just kiss away and the words said hurt but will fade Random is the taste of love upon her blade
All the stage is now gone up in flames what is left is ashes and the saddest of pain for the shadows talk to me My life is lived but my soul it is not free IV Where is the equal in the wind going to be made felt her kiss it burned upon my soul child of love is growing old start the wind a blowing in the field of life promises made now cut deep like a knife
All the stage is now gone up in flames what is left is ashes and the saddest of pain for the shadows talk to me My life is lived but my soul it is not free V Better or worse is for some to see values carved in a heart on a tree before God I stand which is better live or die to prove you are a man All my life my words were my bond but now I am crying for the star I wished on has died questions of age play in memory was I the one who captured the birth that is leaving me
All the stage is now gone up in flames what is left is ashes and the saddest of pain for the shadows talk to me My life is lived but it is not free to be the things I hoped it would be

I agree that this is a sad write but only Walter can pull it together like this.
But verywell penned!!
love Tinka
mixed with the repetition
it held emotions well just letting them linger
in the end.....
enjoyed
