Pondering thoughts

From back woods to reinstate

Lone does not compensate

For the tried and true

Fixture that I am

Well you know there is a place

Just between love and hate

Faces trace the lines

Of years

Tears they come

Like night wind they run

Any heart will do

When pain of lonely

Comes for you

Romance it is the
give

Have never
 lived

And
I cry

When I

Realize
 I
just survive

Trust in the dust

Has been lust

Marked cold as old

Flames
cry

Images seen

Dreams fade

Pretty shapes

Left me long ago

Behind

World it be

In the staggering sea

Hurt it tries

Age lies

Love what can it be

Dirty socks

Stale donnut

Dried eyes

It is the ware and tear of a keyboard swing

Brings me back to what I am

Nether lover or friend

Just alone inside my pride

So come and feel

Taste is it real

Never been to the other side

Never wanted to die

Never thought I’d try

Silver spurs ride into lie

Romance is feeling high

Touch upon skin

Seldom never again

Youth comes for me

Age is all it sees

Pouch of belly hanging

Over the side

Whiskey sings my lullaby

Into window well

Heart and soul

Sell out

I lied

Cold wind spares my keys

Lonely room is me

And write to be free

1:00 blues is I

Come and join the voice

In time mixture

Words in rhyme

Saved by writing

Mine

From back woods to reinstate

Lone does not compensate

For the tried and true

Fixture that I am
