Faces in view

Written in unision

by Walt & Sandy

In your court, please play, the wind grabs at the soul

No loving held back

We just have to let go

Petals Did Fall

I do recall it was spring not a fall

I remember the scent of lilacs

As the wild of love did
Call and all

and lavender, allium and sweet chives

Was good with and for me
They have me in a cage
A perfect page wrapped up in sage

with dewdrops on ragged leaves

Sagging pieces seen. Cats meteor
Hanging in cream

Linger here to view, new it would be
A coming of the shrew

Vernal white, cool,
in shadowed lavender hue
why not red, my dear, to show
your true love's passion,
for that is the fashion?

Oh paten of need
Seed felt in creed
Watch her crop
Kill the weed
Peed upon my dream
In anger left undone

what did I say to
make you leave in
that way?

Blistering heat
Feet scream at sand
Cold hot sun

Rape of land
Fan embers clean
Here he come

He be the man
Tall at first
Proud he stands

Back legs
Rest his ass
Fall then

why take when you
can have me for free,
can't you see

Runs but
Slut she lays
Not like the wind
Again again

petals fall, no longer
white, red with a passion
of fear and greed, taking
from me, what you need

We lend a crew
Stringer hangs
Slough in back forty

Sends catfish home for dinner
But then
A walking brand

in still replayed a dinner laid,
fish and grits, cornbread too,
the honey drips... just for you,
just for you...
the tear drips for me

This fearless
Thing
This place called man

As read becomes
Expresses
Smoke fills the quest

Upon a barrowed
Feel
Steal what you need
Pass by home

dinnered silence
then desert a slamming door

No one wanted
Shouted loud
Leave me alone

I'm done, I'm finished
in the morning I'm gone!

Death answers in the near
Of you I have no fear
Just rest a body down

Under rock
Under ground
A feed for those

Left behind
Mind pierces time
To judge

I smell lilacs, lavender,
allium and sweet chives

And question
My mind
Failure stings

I do recall it was a spring
Knot a flower fall
As the wild of true love
did
Call
and all
was good
With me

and flower petals
white did fall, in red passioned
ways, of loves' lost and laid.

Flower of forget me not ends with she loved me

In Spring when petals did fall

In your court, please play, the wind grabs at the soul

No loving held back

We just have to let go

I love the surreal sense of time ,love, and death in this poem.
