Orange moon fills the sky
Farmers work late into the night
Crops summers work coming in
Everyone works all the kin
Thanks to mother earth
For her precious dessert
Eyes full autumn color
Working close to one another
Cool breeze in the air
Warns winter is near
Jack-o-lanterns out in force
It is Halloween of course
Indian summer gone
Running deer, year old fawn
Mother rocks in the chair
Quilt almost done for room upstairs
From green to orange and red
Trees beauty goes unsaid
Snuggle by the fireplace
Glow of love in my wife's face
Children gather round
roasting chestnuts found on the ground
It has been a good year
I don't think there is anything more personal than the experience of one's capturing of the seasons. It reflects the heart of the writer. Wonderful job...thanks for the insight. Lisa
