Dancing With Delusion

(The precarious juxtaposition of good and evil in our lives.)

Dancing with delusion.....
Visions of a cartoon princess, dancing gaily in her ice castle.
Nightmares of an emaciated prisoner, crawling across a putrid dungeon floor.
Songs of the seagulls as they glide above the crystal beaches and shimmering waves.
Screams of the lemmings as they plunge into the churning surf on the rocks below.

Dancing with delusion.....
Fragrance of mayhaw blossoms along White Sulphur Springs in early morning.
Aroma of decay rising from the corpses along the River Styx at midnight.
Flavor of sweet honeysuckle dew glistening on violet vines.
Taste of bitter hemlock boiling in a pewter caldron.

Dancing with delusion.....
Breath of life upon your neck that bathes your heart in rapture.
Kiss of death upon your cheek that drains your soul's resistance.
With senseless senses, facing faceless shadows in the light.
It's the price you pay when dancing with delusion for the night.
