Poem Artwork

I’m happy there’s no need to lie,

No roles for me to play,
I’m happy to have peaceful sleep,
Adore the spring of day.
I’m happy that my friends stayed here,
Each time when road got rough,
I’m happy that I stood by them,
Though, it was hard enough.
I’m happy still to have my dreams,
I’ll never give them up,
I wasn’t hurt a fly and yet
My wings sometimes were cut.
I’m happy that I am still standing fast,
I never got dear friends out of my soul,
No matter just how difficult life was,
I didn’t have to ask for their remorse.
I’m happy being alive and that my life
Is lucky, honest, clear and has no false,
I am beloved, my family is here,
And I will love them till I have my pulse.
I’m happy that my dear hearth and home
Is strong enough to come through any storm.
I’m happy not to have become a slave
And bear true allegiance to my oath.
I didn’t put on ice my hopes and wants,
My dreams and valor light the way I chose.
I’m happy that I’ve always been with Him
In spite of all lost efforts of the foes,
I’m happy that I'm favored by my faith
And didn’t stay with those who are still lost.

Thanks for your both fantastic comments, Budd and Ron! It's a pleasure that one and the same poem may be judged differently. I always maintain aloofness to the unity of sentiments. I love world as it is!

I gather from this that you were associated at some time or another with some other people you call, “lost.”

Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
