IV Nurses

I hate needles I hate them so,

These IV vampires want your blood,

Those doctors don’t know

Tests and more tests they make up to run,

I swear IV nurses do it for fun

They think up ways to torture people each night

They enjoy seeing little kids cower in fright

They are like the ware wolf smelling blood in the air

Their needles are like teeth your body their tongue

The needles are so shiny and sharp going into your vein

The IV nurse gets excited as your blood starts to drain

Into the tube and off to the lab

To see what exciting new infection you have

Are you dehydrated, are you anemic,

Do you have the mumps?

Do you need to see what’s inside that big lump?

Those IV nurses get so darn excited when they get the page

they gear up with their needles, tunricates and tubes

More tests from the doctors them great big weasels

The IV nurses come straight away for your blood

To puncture your vein, leaving you crying and bruised,

Do they have to be so rough?

Those IV nurses love their job so

“Like taking candy from a baby” that’s their bloody motto
