Somewhere along life's road many people have gotten the notion that God is the unjust judge in the parable found in Luke 18, but let's turn that around and assume He is interceding through us to reach the unrepentant.

The unjust judge sat on His throne
His eyes as hard as lead
He watched his peers with lofty gaze--
But the widow filled him with dread.
He fain would scoff at her humble garb
And mock as she begged and wept:
But God entreated through her and so
Those prayers he could never forget.
We, like the widow so poor and weak
Cannot convince the hard,
It's the Spirit within that will turn men's hearts
If it's the spirit of God.
