While Living

By  Bernadette A Moyer

Please do not bring flowers

Upon my death

Bring them now

While living

 

Please do not tell me

When I am gone

Tell me now

What is good, what is wrong

 

Please do not wait

Show your love

Show me now

That I will comprehend

 

Please do not depend

On tomorrow, this way

We shall have today

No rain of sorrow

 

Please live

While living

Give during time of devotion

Please I ask

 

As to no regret

I knew your love

While living

Not sad nor blue

 

I take with me

So much of you

I take to you

While living

No regrets in this poem. We must take advantage of every opportunity because there are no opportunities when we're gone. A very good lesson on life.
