Something I saw today whilst coming off a mountain on Vancouver Island...
as i came down the mount..

the strangest thing i saw today
as i came down the mount’
a woman in a golden dress
wi’ lovely face and golden tress
‘who was she’ ? i cannot, but guess
that woman in the golden dress
wi’ lovely face and golden tress
perhaps a mountain....... goddess ?
my companions gave to me a tease
as i came down the mount’
that i had much too much the sun
t’was seeing things of which were none
as descent down our race we won
they jibed i had too much the sun...
did i see that of which were none
perhaps a sprite, with me...having fun?..
tomorrow morn as is my word
i’ll go back up that mount’
and search till dusk hie’s in the eve
i’ll stay and never ever leave
i’ll not allow that sprite to weave
on me a spell....as dusk hie’s in the eve
