My Window Pain

So often are we left to stare out of the window and ponder over..."What if?" My Window Pain is seeing the world from a different perspective to get in touch with my inner self.

Imagine a reflection for a moment

Not for any a priori reason of sort.

What is this portrait?

This miraculous sculpture,

A semiosis in the form of its own

The faint window against our perception,

Is but, a pathway to the past,

The present and the future.

Although abstract, its purpose suggest

That we sometimes gaze through it

To gain a better understanding in life.

It is an opening device

To our freedoms and temptations

A snap shot; if you would,

Of a virtual reality that exist in our lives

Despite its unbiased views.

We rely on its emotional dexterity

To navigate our pretentious faults

And once tainted by the persistence

That inevitability manifest

No blood rite will anoint its indiscretions.

For it alone, is my optical sphere,

My wind eye to the rest of the world.

I look out my window and see a bunch of crazy neighbors. I find your window much more interesting.

Love ya!

Eh . . . The window, in my thoughts and judgment is a reflection of ourselves, Antonio. What we see, think, or fear as as gaze through the window has nothing whatsoever do do with our feelings, desires, or perspective. It is merely a window. Is it, as some say, a window to our souls? No, it is simply a place to gaze at the world around you. Your window suggest a much more powerful ends to a means.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
