The Last Goodbye Vexed, I sit in silence in the corner thinking Quietly by myself Colours flash past and I feel an inward sinking I see you walking across the ceiling Your mind blown from all reality Deep within yourself there is a true meaning I know; I’ve been there I need the unclenched soul inside No diamonds or rubies Just your mind free and wide No. Don’t let it happen again I can see right through you Into your mind, what’s left, not slain Think. Or at least try to Your mind blows again Please, not again You can’t hide. It shows Words have meanings Or at least, they used to This is not you Your body and spirit are separate © Andrea Coltman

This was really interesting- I was just reading a line from a book last night that was similiar to the last line in this poem, and it is so true. Good write!
