Memoirs of a Victorian Parting
She looked so beautiful that day
As I took her to the station
She held her small valise and parasol
I checked her reservation
In magnificence, the engine shone as
I walked her down the platform
I tried very hard to hide my
Feelings of grief that were borne
I helped her aboard the train
And escorted her to her cabin
My passion for her flowed
As I kissed her lips so red and thin
My arms surrounded her petite physique
As I whispered sweet nothings
She smiled a smile so warm
That it melted my heart
Arousing newborn feelings
The guard blew his whistle as
I reluctantly left my sweetheart alone inside
The engine worked furiously
The train moved slowly. I saw her face
I rushed to the window blew a passionate kiss
Mouthed, “I love you,” quickened my pace
A single tear rolled down her
Pale face as I ran to keep up with the train
The steam blocked my view and
My love rolled out of sight, my face was wet, it was rain

It made me fly on the wings of my memories. (I had many farewell and arrivals at Victoria Station, London, UK.)
I did enjoy this "Memoirs of a Victorian Parting".
