......

I am drifting again, drifting, looking

Inward, not at all objective about what

I see, this sightless eye of self-discovery

Blinded by what it hopes to find, closed

Like the mind that guides it, but I am

Learning, learning, learning

That the mind is but one such eye through

Which I may examine this ageless riddle,

Enigma of self, my heart the true r source, a

Beacon of light, magic looking glass, pointing

The way, soul exposed by its regard, a vessel

Of emotion rather than thought, far too long

Overlooked by that deceitful, sightless eye.

END

“Sightless”

"... this sightless eye of self-discovery Blinded by what it hopes to find..." Yet another stunning introspective, George, and I know I suffer the same "blankness" when I also try to understand these riddles. I have been thinking this week of the curious thing about writing about deep feeling: am I writing about what I am ACTUALLY feeling - or writing about what I THINK I'm supposed to be thinking... and, if I'm thinking about that, then I'm not actually feeling these things at all, rather THINKING them...????!!!!! I am getting the hunch, somehow, that we are two of a kind...!!! :))) Thank you for writing "me" thoughts better than I ever could. They look good the way YOU write them!! TY Kate xx

To learn is to know we are alive. There is no challenge in what we already know. "Life is for learning...Live it well."

We always search, we always learn. We take personal inventory and grow from our mistakes. And hopefully, we'll never stop learning. We may not always like what we see, but we do need to accept it...

Striking words forming lines of poetic-philosophical excellence; delivering a poem of ontological and teleological message.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
