About the only thing I could come up with today, but I needed NEEDED to write something, even if its wrong, you know?

I tripped over myself last night, clumsy

Mirror reflecting empty spaces as I stood

Looking through them…it hangs on my closet

Door, a fitting place for a mirror, considering

The secrets held within the image looking

Back at me, and I thought to delve there but

That doppelganger shook our heads, knowing

Glass is not the only thing easily broken should

I manage to find those empty spaces and put names

To them…

If the ghosts won't leave us alone, let's make friends with them. This is good, George. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis

"Empty spaces, "mirrors," the mind struggling for complete consciousness. Nicely put!

Geez, George, I can't write this well when I DO have thoughts of what to write. This is excellent and deep.
Take care,

The ghosts of our past, never seem to want to leave us alone. I use the analogy, found in the Bible. "The wolf, shall dwell with the lamb." Both are present in me. Right now, today, the lamb is out front, somewhere hidden is the wolf, waiting for a chance to come out. As long as I nuture the lamb, he becomes more powerful, while I know the wolf is there, his presence is less of a threat... I've accepted him... good write, keep searching...

Well George, I'd say you've accomplished your goal. Lots of passion in this one.
Excellent work. Your need to write has been justified.

Lisa

Still Living on my Feet by Tichaona Chinyelu

Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep
