This is a short poem reflecting on resting in our soul when hard times come.
Challenges come Disappointments too But there is hope deep within you Your heart is pounding You look for relief You rest in your soul There you'll find peace is your belief Your soul gently guides you to relaxation and serenity It's gentle soothing song lasts for eternity Now you emerge with new hope and peace You now feel revived Sadness and stress released

In the spiritual tradition I take part in, the soul is the "ground" of the individual, the place where a person stands, identifies him/herself, and takes root to grow. Everything refers back to the soul which is the accumulation and summary of who we are. Your poem reflects that nicely. Thank you. John
