For any man can obtain great knowledge
Yet wisdom is the practicing of such
It doesn't take a certain magic touch
And needn't be learned in some great college


Old Solomon was truly such a man
He first asked God when he became the king
Wisdom and knowledge let my being sing
And Israel it were a kingdom grand

The glory of the world Israel land
As ruled by Solomon so great and wise
The glory of the land rose to the skies
And such the glory great and truly grand

The wisest of the kings, Solomon old
A clever man , most brazen and most bold
