This, as her editor and daughter is probably my favorite of her works, as I knew what she was seeing and feeling. Yet, I think many feel this way also, and feel with her. It is to me, one of her best works and words. ~~~~~~~~~~~
There is my life before me
Lying on the floor,
Boxes and boxes of letters
Cards, notes, and tot-art.
Success and failure
And love and hurt
And misunderstanding,
On yellowed pages of penmanship,
Lines and lives of hopes and plans
That will break my heart
As I read and sort and file and weep.
