The Towering Clock

The towering clock strikes
The stroke of death -
One, two, a million.
Tears flow through the willow tree
In nature's rain of regret.
Vapors of unremembered desires
Dissolve like breath of roses
Blooming on seas of evanescent verdure.

Once upon a time I breathed
A sweet serene, that poignance,
Kissed by stars, caressed by moonlight -
Naked running through strands
Of sparkling night -
Sleek, slipping through tides of undulate delight.
Now in primordial grove of years,
Pool of wind swept passion
Amethyst sighs crystal tears,
Wafting centuries of play - pretend
And whys, I lie.

Caves fill up and burst with
The emptiness that is me.
Echoing from canyon walls like
Outraged blindness in vaults of
Blue gold day.
Mute despair rolling through
Silent thunder, screams my name
In lighting.
And the clock ticks and tocks and ticks
And time smiles to be so catered to.

Undated

There is so many parts in this that I really loved. I promised myself that I wouldn't cut and past parts of poems to reflect singular moments of an entire peice that obviously touched me enough to make me want to. I really enjoyed the approached to this characters life reflections.

Great write.

This is so emotive and expressed well.
