Ivy, tender green Strong of tendril Hardy and ever there Clings to old stone Like moss To settled shady earth Neath cedar trees In graveyards. Children do not play In ivy, Or notice old stone walls For they are not Where they are, usually. Nor does youth pause Or linger, just because, In graveyards. It is the vintage folks Such atmosphere invokes The notice of. Dated 9/10/1982
