Humanism fails If it says Mankind created its own destiny - For mankind is weak Ignorant and vain. I know, For I'm a member Of that clan, And know my weakness My wanton impulse My need For governance, Yea, even for the God -force That brought me here To acknowledge My incapacity All my inadequacy To be my own mentor. Thus, I bow before it Seek its face While I live In shadow Longing for noon. I cannot answer All my own questions Nor fill humanity's need. Mankind struck Deaf and dumb and blind Before God's truth, Though he abide In cosmic awareness, Knows mainly this, He is not his own.
Definitely a piece that can be taken on different levels, where reading between lines can be as powerful as those written, something not that easily done.
Nice work!

Again I enjoy her poetry so much and bless you for posting them.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
