When art caresses the heart
And presses
Its whole hand
Against that beating need,
The soul soars
On wings of dawn
up to other than hereness
To other whereness
To drift and rise
In skies alight
With Allness
Of goodness -
And grace -
Sweetness undreamed
And enough fulfillment
To erase
At least
Half our heartache.
