Regarding life and love
Grief, yearning, strife -
Above, beneath
Or somewhere in between everything
There is a mean
Where revelation glows
Like evanescent stars
And peace abides
Like extant Mars.
It whispers through the universe,
Sings with every stroke of lyre
And sweep of brush,
Rides with every guest in hearse
Burns in every fire of heart and hearth
With calm acclamation -
Collage of truth's eternity, beauty and grace -
It knows neither passion
Nor dull ennui.
It merely breathes -
Slowly, quietly
And is faithfully.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
