Where would the meeting
of our lives be without
hands
making visible
the truth of feelings
submerged within:
the caress of love
the accusation of the pointing finger
the iron grip of control
the gentle touch of friendship and healing
the limp handshake of disconnection
On the other hand perhaps
a smile
is almost nearly as good:
that soft invisible stoke
from the inside of me
to the inside of you;
that golden kiss
delivered wrapped
in a velvet glove
Such a decision hands or lips?

WOW this is awesome Kate...I was feeling sorry
for the people that have no hands ( or no fingers
as I know one like that) and then I read the ending..
of course we speak with our eyes..our face..our smile..
although hands are very important...it is possible to
express ourselves without them...except for just one
thing...I'm Italian...((smiles)) this was really
nice...well written.Love the lines "inside of me to the
inside of you" great lines....I enjoyed it immensely..floria
